Bosphage
Phages belong to environmentally friendly microorganisms. The safety and efficacy have been well tested. Humans have used phages to treat bacterial diseases for more than 100 years. The US FDA has also approved phages as food additives and biopesticides. And we humans have a large number of phages in our hands, eyes, mucous membranes, and intestines, which is enough to prove the safety of phages.

Bacteriophage or phage specially attacks bacterium and is the natural enemy of bacterium. It has strict host specificity. A phage can only lyse its corresponding bacterium. We typically use lytic phages that target pathogenic bacteria and don't have any effect on the beneficial bacteria in the gut.


Bosphage is a series of phage products, used in poultry, livestock, ruminants, and aquaculture, available in feed grade or water soluble powder. We currently have phages that target the following bacteria:

 

Poultry, livestock, ruminants:

Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Clostridium perfringens, Staphylococcus, Riemerella anatipestifer.

 

Aquaculture:

Vibrio (Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio harveyi, Vibrio alginolyticus, etc.), Aeromonas, Edwardsiella, Citrobacter, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas, etc

Advantages

-Strong stress resistance. Bosphage has good thermal stability, stomach acid resistance, bile salt resistance, and is powdery, more stable than liquid products, easy to transport and store at room temperature.

-High host bacteria coverage and wide lysis spectrum. Using cocktail therapy, Bosphage can lyse 95% of Salmonella, 80% of E. Coli (customized type can reach 90%) and 90% of Clostridium perfringens.

-Advanced production technology, ensuring high titer of phage fermentation.

Bosphage
